The true cost of AI: A reality check for fund managers

23rd September 2026

AI now comes with a meter running. Join our expert panel to explore how consumption-based pricing is reshaping AI adoption and how to prove it’s delivering measurable value.

Lanware’s commitment to community, camaraderie, and charitable impact continues to shine. In 2025, our flagship events - the Bull vs Bear Big Quiz Night and the MSP Golf Cup- raised an impressive £15,000 for Help For Children (UK), building on the legacy of our 30 for 30 campaign, which raised £30K in the previous year. These collective efforts reinforce our belief that when our industry comes together, meaningful change happens. These events are now firmly established and will continue annually, alongside our support for other charitable organisations, including The Winchester London and its associated charities, such as The Wasps Legends Charitable Foundation.

Inspired by this spirit of purpose-driven action, Lanware is proud to join the A4C UK × Kms4Kids Challenge 2026, a year-long initiative to support Alternatives 4 Children, turning movement into education for children around the world.

As Managing Director, Henry Duncombe puts it:

“We’re proud to support Kms4Kids. It aligns perfectly with our values of community, wellbeing, and meaningful impact. Every kilometre our team completes helps create access to education for the children who need the support.”

His words reflect the values that have long guided our fundraising efforts and the values that continue to shape our future commitments.

What is the Kms4Kids challenge?

Launched by Ian Forrest, CEO of OSMO Partners, the Kms4Kids Challenge brings teams together around a shared, purpose-driven fitness goal. In 2026, A4C UK will bring 10 companies into the initiative, with OSMO Partners leading the way and Lanware proud to join them.

The concept is simple but powerful:

  • Get moving
  • Give back
  • Grow together

Participating companies commit to:

  • Donating £1 per kilometre run (with walking/cycling optional via a conversion formula)
  • • Encouraging staff to track activity with their preferred fitness app
  • Submitting monthly totals via a shared spreadsheet
  • Donating monthly through bank transfer or A4C UK’s JustGiving page

A4C UK will share quarterly updates, bringing transparency and collective celebration to the impact being made.

A year of connection and purpose

Throughout 2026, A4C UK will host a series of optional community runs in London and virtual events for those elsewhere, culminating in a major celebration in autumn. Participating companies receive co-branded t-shirts, recognition on A4C UK’s LinkedIn, certificates of participation, and detailed impact reports. But more importantly, they become part of a movement where every kilometre contributes to real change.

Why this matters to Lanware

Joining the Kms4Kids Challenge reflects our ongoing commitment to:

  • Supporting education and opportunity
  • Encouraging team wellbeing
  • Building meaningful industry connections
  • Taking clear, measurable action to improve lives

This initiative channels our collective energy into creating lasting impact for children who need it most. We are proud to make every kilometre count. If you or your company would like to get involved, please get in touch!
