Lanware 30 for 30!
This year it’s Lanware’s 30th Birthday and to help celebrate, we thought it would be a great idea to mark the occasion by undertaking a number of fundraising challenges with the aim of raising a total of £30K to donate to two great charities that are close to our heart.

About the charities
The first charity we are supporting is “Help for Children”, which not only raises money for an amazing cause, but is very much aligned to the industry in which we operate.
Help for Children
Help for Children (HFC) is a charity supported by the alternative investment industry community with its main mission being to eradicate child abuse worldwide, where 40 million children are victims of child abuse every year.

Generously supported by hedge fund, private equity and venture sectors, the charity uses critical funds to support effective child abuse and treatment interventions across 13 locations in 6 countries.
Using consultations from experts from well-known university and institutions, HFC provides grants to help local communities and supports promising new practices in the prevention of child abuse. These valuable grants go towards reducing trauma and decreasing risk by protecting children and supporting families who are directly affected. Since 1998, HFC has released $61 million worth of grants to communities and in the process transformed over 1.1 million lives.
Help us reach our goal!
Here is where we currently stand:
Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice
The second charity we would like to support is The Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice. This one in particular is very close to Lanware as the hospice gave truly amazing care and support to our founder and his family during his brave long battle with cancer back in 2014 and are continuing to do a fantastic job in the local community.

Founded in 1979, The Phyllis Tuckwell provides supportive and end-of-life care to adult patients living with an advanced or terminal illness and their families. Supporting over 250 patients, carers and families across West Surrey and part of North East Hampshire, all the hospice services are free but it only receives government funding covering 20% of its running costs.
This means it needs to fundraise £20,000 every day of the year to ensure it can give the best level of care, so is reliant on voluntary donations and Corporate Partnerships. Phyllis Tuckwell is also in the process of building a new hospice on its current site in Farnham to ensure it can continue to give the very best quality of life for its patients and that their final days are peaceful.
