Lanware shortlisted in HFM European Hedge Fund Services Awards 2017 for product innovation and technology services to its Hedge Fund clients

Lanware, cloud-based managed service provider for investment firms and financial institutions, has been shortlisted in the prestigious HFM European Hedge Fund Services Awards 2017, in the categories ‘Best outsourced technology infrastructure provider’, ‘Best cloud computing solution’ and ‘Most innovative technology provider’.

Presented by HFM, the Awards recognise providers in the hedge fund space who have demonstrated exceptional customer service and innovative product development over the past 12 months. For the second year running Lanware has achieved finalist status within the ‘best outsourced technology infrastructure provider’ and ‘best cloud computing solution’ categories, and for the first time has also been shortlisted for ‘most innovative technology provider’.

Lanware was shortlisted after demonstrating strong growth over the past year in the hedge fund sector, as well as showing how product and service innovation has helped to meet their specific technology needs.

Lanware is now a leading vendor in the provision of “Community Cloud” within the Financial Services Sector. The company recognised that using a collaborative effort to share cloud infrastructure between several organisations from a specific community would bring about a number of advantages for those individual organisations. The Community Cloud gives them an secure and compliant IT service meeting all their technology needs as well as reduced cost and effort that would normally be attributed to a more traditional approach. This enabled them to focus on their fund and attracting new investment.

Henry Duncombe, Managing Director at Lanware, says, “We are delighted to be shortlisted for these three highly respected industry awards. The nomination supports our core mission to build long-term relationships with Financial Services clients, as a partner that understands the clients business delivering innovative solutions which enable them to grow in a secure and managed way.”

The 2017 HFM European Hedge Fund Services Awards will take place on Thursday 27th April at The Hurlingham Club in London. Find out more here

Data Security
A consistent approach to compliance and security

Working exclusively with FCA-regulated clients, Lanware puts security in the spotlight. Every service we provide, every partner
we select, and every colleague that joins our team - they’re all linked by a focus on data security and protection.

We understand the risks associated with outsourcing and that, ultimately, Lanware could represent a new risk to your data.
That’s why we’ve taken such rigorous steps to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your data.

An independently assessed security system

The heart of our approach to security is our Information Security Management System (ISMS), a collection of policies and practices
that is certified to the ISO 27001 standard – the internationally recognised best practice management standard for information security.

The ISMS is built on seven core principles, requirements of the ISO27001 standard.

Context

Nothing happens in a vacuum. We consider context carefully at every stage, looking at everything from internal governance to environmental conditions and trends.

Planning

Detailed planning allows us to identify risks and opportunities, define security objectives, and work to meet them.

Operations

Lanware conducts regular security committee meetings, carrying out operational planning and enforcing the risk treatment plan.

Improvement

ISMS is always being improved at every level – a core principle of the ISO27001 standard.

Leadership

Security roles throughout Lanware are clearly defined, and our top management remains closely involved with ISMS.

Support

Lanware provides competent resources to support the ISMS – with security requirements made clear to all involved.

Evaluation

Lanware monitors, measures, analyses and evaluates information security – and the ISMS is audited both internally and by the BSI.

Fully compliant with ISO27001 controls

The ISO27001 standard defines 114 controls across 14 areas – and the ISMS is regularly audited for compliance with them all.
